The DPS Soulbeast is a frontliner WvW Ranger build that gives out AoE immobilize and has great burst damage combos for coordinated bombs. Because squads often have high stability uptime which counters many CCs, immobilize is a very powerful condition because it can’t be preemptively avoided by stability, it needs to be reacted to and cleansed, meaning any small duration of immobilize even if it is cleansed can be deadly. Despite the low damage over time, immobilize can enable kills much more easily.

Immobilize Sources: Entangle, Signet of the Wild, Prelude Lash (F3), Muddy Terrain, Hammer 4, Sword 3

Use Muddy Terrain from range to close the gap when your squad engages. When closer, use Signet of the Wild or Entangle to immobilize where your group is performing their burst. Then use the Prelude Lash F3 to pull any enemies into you and your team’s burst. Assist in the burst with the Axe 5 and Sword 2/3 or remove boons with the Hammer 3 or further immobilize with the Hammer 4.

Otherwise, share your Stances to allies when appropriate. The Dolyak stance prevents CC, and the Bear stance cleanses conditions.
