Support Spellbreaker is a warrior build that is more aggressive support for a WvW Zerg. They provide tons of might to allies, boon rips to enemies, crowd control, and even unblockable effect to facilitate the damage of their DPS while being a sturdy frontliner who can take hits for their squad. By removing any boons they also remove another boon from nearby enemies due to the Enchantment Collapse trait, and because Spellbreakers remove boons when CCing they can really expose their enemies’ defenses. Winds of Disenchantment is also a high impact skill that denies boons and removes them.
There are many situational effects you can provide to your team and using them at the right time requires knowing which skill does what.
Cleanse: Warhorn 4/5, Banner of Tactics (Resistance)
Stability: Banner of Tactics
Heal: Staff F1, 2, 3, 5
Mitigation: Banner of Defense, Staff 3, Full Counter, Staff 5
Staff 2 and 5 will give you adrenaline to keep casting F1/F2 skills even if you don’t have enemies to hit
Other Effects:
- “Shake it Off!” (Cleanse Conditions and AoE Stun Break)
- “To the Limit!” (Dodge Regeneration)
- Staff 3 (Unblockable buff)
When you want to engage on the enemy, leap in with Staff 2, use Full Counter or Banner of Tactics to prevent getting locked down, cast Winds of Disenchantment on the choke point or the enemy, then Pull enemies once their stability is removed with the Staff 4, or swap to remove more boons with the Dagger F1. Afterwards, leap towards your team with Staff 3/Dagger 2 and continue to support them.
