The Celestial Spear Daredevil is a Thief WvW roaming build with heavy boon removal to deplete enemy defenses while also stealing these boons to aid in its own sustain.

The Spear’s Sneak Attack is a multi-hitting attack which applies vulnerability and then on the final hit it applies bleeding and poison while refunding initiative. Because the attack occurs over a large window of time and hits a wide radius, it is hard to evade the entire animation. This makes it extremely reliable to trigger the shadow arts traits that apply poison, life steal, and steal boons.

Entering into stealth requires landing the Spear 3’s third attack in the chain. This can be combined with the teleports from Steal or Infiltrator’s Signet to ensure it lands. The Spear 3 finisher has an evade and is unblockable, allowing you to get value out of spamming it, but the first two attacks in the chain can be used for mobility or without hitting. Quick mouse movements, swapping targets, and timing is important for positioning and landing the Spear Finisher because the difference between gaining stealth and not gaining stealth is huge. If you do fail to land the Spear 3 Finisher, you can always recover using the Spear 5 which is a block that gains 2 extra blocks when used after a Finisher.

• Spear > 3 > 4 > 2 > 2 > 5
