The Celestial Untamed is a ranger WvW roaming build with a mobile melee playstyle using the Ambush skill Neurotoxin Burst and the utility cantrip Unnatural Traversal to port towards your target, sticking to them with Sword and Dagger attacks to deal burst hybrid condition and strike damage.
The Let Loose trait grants access to your ambush skills as soon as you weapon swap, and the Quick Draw trait reduces the cooldown of your first weapon skill after weapon swapping, meaning your weapon swap is a moment of high burst potential. Getting a Quick Draw reduction on the low cooldown Sword or mainhand dagger attacks can allow you to get more mobility, but using them on the offhand dagger or warhorn attacks can lead to more damage.
Burst Combos: Dagger 5 > Sword 3 > Dagger 4 > Swap > Dagger Ambush (F5+1) > Warhorn 4/5 > Dagger 2/3
Warhorn 4/5 > Dagger Ambush (F5+1) > Dagger 2 > Swap > Dagger 4 > 5 > Sword Ambush (F5+1) > Sword 3 > 2 > Dagger 4
Use the Smokescale’s F2 as a smoke field for your many leap/blast finishers to gain stealth which can help you escape from difficult situations.

idk why this build is ranked only as “good”. I play this build and its rly overpowered with the stealth and plasma. Only downside is the movement if u get ganked from 3+ ppl. The Warhorn 4 with sharpening stone is a rly good condi burst. With the strong maul skill from siamoth its possible to burst a cele catalist to half life.
Is this still good since celestial nerf? Would spear work instead of sword/warhorn?
all of rangers conditions already have pretty good base duration, and can take nature magic/wilderness/untamed and go dagger/mace/axe/warhorn take taste for danger in wilderness instead of earth child, with food can get decent concentration/expertise cele “nerf” really does not effect most condi ranger builds. take blinding outburst/corrupting vines.
now you have insane boon removal/corrupt and mobility/dmg axe ambush combined with dagger ambush alone just destroys most people, they buffed the hell out of untamed recently
