The Celestial Pistol Harbinger is a necromancer WvW roaming build that has great sustain due to gaining Blight stacks from staying in Harbinger Shroud and casting elixirs on yourself, which heals over time, but costs maximum health making you susceptible to burst.
This weakness is made up for with the toughness from the gear, the protection boon, and extra sustain from Blight. With carapace stacks from Death Magic, it can become even more survivable while gaining cleanses over time. However, you need to actively apply or cleanse conditions to keep these stacks up. Use Elixirs early on before you can stack your carapace to gain Protection and prevent burst so you can survive long enough to get the sustained pressure out.
Basic Rotation:
- Staff 5 > 4 > 3 > 2 > Swap
- Warhorn 5 > Pistol 3 > 2 > Warhorn 4 > Enter Shroud
Shroud Rotation:
- Shroud 2 > 4 > 3 > 5 > 111 > 2
After exiting Shroud perform the basic rotation in the opposite direction. Use Elixir of Ambition early and the other elixirs when cleansing and healing is necessary.

Why dual sword?
Originally was Staff but the mobility from Sword 3 is very necessary these days, so the sword off-hand can be replaced with warhorn if you prefer, but the ranged fear allows to chain cc from range, and works very well especially against thieves.
Hi Jen. I see you’ve changed this build from a few days ago. It was Viper armor and weapons and Trailblazer trinkets. Any particular reason you went Celestial even after the nerf? Still really enjoying it though. Love Warhorn over Tourch.
I was wrong about celestial, the nerf was meaningless for harbinger. Viper+Trailblazer is good but the reality is that harbinger have more synergy with cele, so yea it is better still. Both can work but cele is just better.
Why was the rune changed from trapper to torment? Regarding the old build before the nerf.
