Condition Trapper Soulbeast Roaming Build

GW2. Condition Trapper Soulbeast Roaming Build

Overview

The Condition Soulbeast build can land its damage over time while enemies are Immobilized. It is very mobile and resilient to various damage sources due to the beast merge with birds and high toughness/cleansing.

Synergy

Prelude Lash, the beast skill while merged, is extremely good to set up combos. Since you can disable enemies often with Shortbow, Prelude Lash, Spike Trap, and Entangle, the Torch 5 burning field is very easy to land despite it being slow and positioning based. Dagger 3 can also leap finisher through that fire field for fire aura. Trapper Runes give the ability to disengage with the Stealth and Superspeed for extra safety in outnumbered fights.

Playstyle

Engage on single enemies with your Shortbow 4 or 5. Once you can get in close, cast Prelude Lash and then Shortbow 2 in melee range, then swap to Dagger Torch and use the Torch 5 and Dagger 2 while the enemy is stuck in your immobilize. Follow up with Entangle if they use cooldowns to get out of your Prelude Lash.

    • Yep Flame is a good option, I ended using spike trap because the flame trap is pulsing damage and kept revealing me, which made me die many times, the extra CC on spike is very good to lock down longer and interrupt people ressing, but yea it will totally work with Flame if you prefer it.

    • You could use Axe instead dagger, but you will have less pressure, however the axe skill 2 at melee range will do big dmg once you lock them down, so it can be good, I ended using dagger because I like the condi damage on autoattack mostly, but you can adapt it for your playstyle for sure!

  1. is off hand dagger an option? because i feel like most players wont stay long in torch 5
