GW2. A complete guide for the achievements to obtain the prestige Elegy and Requiem armors from the Living World Season 4 Episode 4.
The Elegy and Requiem armor sets are available after completing the the Living World Season 4 Episode 4: A Star to Guide Us. These armor sets are considered prestige skins, but may not appeal to your tastes. However, these armor sets (Elegy) are required for obtaining the Legendary Trinket Vision.
The Convergence of Sorrow I: Elegy
The Elegy set acts as the precursor to the Requiem set, requiring you to complete it first. The Requiem set is a flashy version of the Elegy skin. To finish the achievements you will need:
- 40 Orichalcum Ingots
- 40 Cured Hardened Leather Squares
- 40 Bolts of Gossamer
- 20 Ancient Wood Planks
Start the collection by following the list below in the order it is listed as.
- Amira’s Lament
Talk to Amira in the northwest corner of Sun’s Refuge found in Jahai Bluffs.
2. Unreadable Words
Interact with the Ruined Memorial northwest of the Venta Pass Waypoint — [&BJMLAAA=]
3. Field Notes on Wrecked Memorials
Approach Eladaar northwest of the Venta Pass Waypoint — [&BJMLAAA=] – you’ll find her chopping down a monument with an axe.
4. Amira’s Complaint
Return to Amira in Sun’s Refuge.
5. Notes on a Sunspear
Speak with Second Spear Riyid at Riyid’s Post in the Rilohn River area and to the east of Reclaimed Chantry Waypoint — [&BJkLAAA=]
6. Further Notes on a Sunspear
There’s a marked Sunspear behind Riyid from the previous step. Listen to their entire conversation, and then the Sunspear will show you the location of Eladaar’s house on the world map.

Interact with the Toy Roller Beetle to the west of the Ruined Procession vista, on the roof of the house below.

In the house below the vista, a Faded Portrait lies against the wall.

11. Memorial for a Soldier
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Orichalcum Ingots. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Wurmhaven, west of Wurmmarshal’s Encampment. Then return to Amira to purchase the next memorial.
12. Memorial for a Laborer
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Cured Hardened Leather Squares. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Yatendi Village, northwest of the Yatendi Village Waypoint — [&BH4LAAA=]. Then return to Amira to purchase the next memorial.
13. Memorial for a Friend
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Bolts of Gossamer. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Crescent’s Prosperity, halfway between the “Crescent’s Prosperity and “Prosperity’s Approach” map text, under a tree on the west side. Then return to Amira to purchase the next memorial.
14. Memorial for a Peacemaker
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Ancient Wood Planks. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Reclaimed Chantry, beneath the vista, inside the chantry. Then return to Amira to purchase the next memorial.
15. Memorial for a Wanderer
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Orichalcum Ingots. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Almorra’s Stand, directly east of Staging Platform. Then return to Amira to purchase the next memorial.
16. Memorial for a Brother
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Cured Hardened Leather Squares. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Central Brand Scar, just south of Monument to the Return of Palawa Joko. Then return to Amira to purchase the next memorial.
17. Memorial for a Wife and Son
Purchase an Awakened Memorial from Amira using 20 Bolts of Gossamer. Travel to and repair the Ruined Memorial in Venta Pass, northwest of the Venta Pass Waypoint — [&BJMLAAA=].
18. Invitation
Talk to Eladaar, near Soul’s Vendetta Waypoint — [&BIMLAAA=].
19. Convergence
Return to the Ruined Memorial northwest of Venta Pass Waypoint – [&BJMLAAA=] again.
20. Endings and Beginnings
Return to Amira in the Sun’s Refuge
Once you have completed the collection, you will gain one of the armor sets and recipes to craft the other 2 weight sets using their respective crafting disciplines. This will also unlock the Requiem armor collection.
The Convergence of Sorrow II: Requiem
To complete this achievement you must have these materials:
- 440 Lumps of Mistonium (the map currency)
- 100 Globs of Ectoplasm
- 3728 Volatile Magic
- 45 Watchwork Sprockets
- 30 Piles of Crystalline Dust
- 25 Superior Sigils of Nullification
- 20 Amalgamated Gemstone
- 2 Swim-Speed Infusion +10
- 1 Heart of the Destroyer (obtained at the center of the volcano in Mount Maelstrom)
Follow these steps in the exact order as listed below to complete the collection.
1. Story of a Djinn
Complete the event “Defeat the Branded djinn Vemyen.” This is an event chain that starts at Ziya the Radiant who spawns occasionally at the Kodonur Temple. Afterwards talk to Ziya in Sun’s Refuge and choose the second dialogue option.
2. Empty Djinn Bottle
Complete the event “Find the djinn vessel before the Brandstorm overwhelms the area” near the Ancestor Tree which is an event that spawns every 30 minutes of the hour (XX:00, XX:30). then talk to the Djinn Vemyen who will appear by the tree. Do the next three steps within the same temporal shift.
3. A Desperate Need
After getting the Empty Djinn Bottle, talk to Meikka within the same temporal rift. She is right next to Vemeyen.
4. Box of Gift Armor
Talk to Amira in Sun’s Refuge.
5. Note of Receipt
Speak to Meikka again. She only spawns during the djinn phase of the Ancestor Tree meta. Can only interact with her if the djinn vessel event was completed this rift.
6. Family Histories, vol. 1
Complete the event Prevent Brand energy from overwhelming the area near the Ancestor Tree during one of the temporal rifts, then talk to Noori.
7. Family Histories, vol. 2
Talk to Noorima, during the Iboga shift of the Ancestor Tree.
8. Mist-Entangled Item
Kill a Branded Riftstalker which spawn from events at multiple locations around the map randomly. (The Riftstalker from the living story quest Legacy does not drop the item.)
9. Armorsmith’s Hallmark
Talk to Amira in Sun’s Refuge.
10. Research Proposal
Travel to the Durmand Priory in Lornar’s Pass, walk to the hero point and then enter the Durmand Priory instance. Talk to Ely Scorchfire inside.
11. Historic Boots
After talking to Ely in the Durmand Priory instance, find her again in Hidden Arcana (zone) (Up stairs, down stairs, left past first book bay, then left into storage area) to unlock a new collection: Requiem: Experiment 1, and then complete it by purchasing Demystifying Device using the materials listed above, then interacting with the two nearby objects (Curiously Empty Bezel and Glowing Red Button). This will grant you your choice of Requiem Boots.
12. Mist-Entangled Item
Buy this from Shadows Agent Kito in the Reclaimed Chantry.
13. Historic Leggings
Return to Ely in the Durmand Priory to unlock a new collection: Requiem: Experiment 2. Buy the items ( Demystifying Device and Additional Spectrum Filter) and repeat the process with the necessary materials above to get your choice of Requiem leggings.
14. Mist-Entangled Item
Buy this from Village Head Azi in Yatendi Village.
15. Historic Gloves
Speak to Ely in the Durmand Priory to unlock a new collection: Requiem: Experiment 3. Buy her items with the materials listed above and repeat the process to gain your choice of Requiem Gloves.
16. Mist-Entangled Item
Buy this from Warmaster Steelburn in Pact Vanguard.
17. Historic Shoulders
Speak to Ely in the Durmand Priory to unlock a new collection: Requiem: Experiment 4. Buy her items with the materials listed above and repeat the process above to gain your choice of Requiem shoulders.

Buy this from Trader Hyacinth in Yatendi Village.
19. Historic Headgear
Speak to Ely to unlock a new collection: Requiem: Experiment 5. Buy her items with the materials listed above and repeat the process above to gain your choice of Requiem headgear.
20. Mist-Entangled Item
Defeat the Death-Branded Shatterer. (If you have already done this meta that day the item doesn’t seem to drop.) Find the event timer for this Jahai Bluffs world boss here.
