Celestial Variant


The Hammer Catalyst is a roaming elementalist build for WvW that dishes out tons of damage. The rotating orbs and jade spheres can not only provide many buffs and damage but are also a great counter to aegis and blinds with how quickly they pulse.

With the celestial stats and Fire traits, you can become a slow but indestructible bruiser. You will struggle to kill enemies who disengage, but enemies will struggle to defeat you in any fair manner. Focus on upkeeping the 3 skill Orbs and staying on top of your target as they will add up damage over time and apply weakness.

Try to use the augment utilities like Fortified Earth inside the earth jade sphere to get extremely low cooldowns on them which grant you extra blocks and sustain.

Basic Rotation: Earth 4 > Jade Sphere + 5 > 3 > 2 > Swap Air

Air 3 > 4 > 5 > Swap Fire

Fire 3 > 4 > 2 > Jade Sphere + 5 > Swap Water

Water 3 > 5 > 4 > 3 (shoot orbs) 2 > Swap Earth

Gameplay


Fresh Air Variant


Fresh Air trait recharges air attunement when critting outside of air attunement, allowing burst combos by swapping into air for many ferocity buffs in the middle of any of the many high damaging “2” skills in each attunement. Air attunement also gives superspeed, so using the longer ranged skills like the jade spheres that can crit can help to keep swapping in and out of air attunement to keep distance or keep up with enemies who move faster.

Try to use the augment utilities like Soothing Water in your water jade sphere and Fortified Earth inside the earth jade sphere to get extremely low cooldowns on them which grant you extra blocks, cleanses, and sustain.

Quick Burst: Lightning Flash + Earth 5/3 > Swap Air > 2/3 + Jade Sphere

Sustained Pressure: Earth 4 > 2+3 > 5 + Earth Jade Sphere > Swap Air > 3/4 > 5 > Swap Fire 4+3 > 2 > Swap Air > Jade Sphere + 2 > Grand Finale 3

Healing Combo (save skills or substitute per the situation): Soothing Water + Water Jade Sphere > 4/5 > Swap to Earth + Dodge > 5

    • low precision that isn’t made up for with other traits, marauder and fury gets you to 80% which is good, dragon would only get to 50-60
