GW2. A complete guide on how to get your Jormag Variants for the Aurene Legendary Weapons in Guild Wars 2. End of Dragons.
Elder Dragons Variants
Each one of the Aurene Legendary Weapons has six variant skins themed in the style of the other Elder Dragons (Zhaitan, Mordremoth, Kralkatorrik, Jormag, Primordius, and Soo-Won). These skin variants have different appearances, visual effects, and animations, according to the theme of the Elder Dragon they are based on.

After you account-bind your first Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon, you will get the achievement called “Arms of a New Cycle” done, and you will receive a mail from Leivas letting you know about the existence of these Elder Dragon variants.
NOTE: These variants require you to participate in events that might be located in maps from older expansions or maps from the living world seasons, so you will need access to that content to complete the skin variant collection.
Jormag Variant

Credit to Lord Hizen for the video.For the Jormag Variants, first you need to buy four Scale Splinters of Jormag from Leivas in Arborstone, and combine them into one Scale Fragment of Jormag by double-clicking any of them.
This will unlock the achievement called “Aurene’s Facet of Persuasion”. This achievement consists in obtaining the following 7 items:
Scale Fragment of Jormag
This item is obtained after combining the four Scale Splinters of Jormag. Buy them from Leivas in Arborstone. They will cost you:
- 350000
Karma - 10 – Chunks of Ancient Ambergris
- 2500
Research Notes + 75 
Gold - 100
Spirit Shards
Purified Scale Fragment of Jormag
To obtain this item, you have to defeat the Claw of Jormag either in the Frostgorge Sound or in the Drizzlewood Coast.
For the one in the Drizzlewood Coast you need to help your allies capture all the zones from South to North. Once you finish all the events at the Frost Citadel the Claw of Jormag will arrive.

Completed Memory of Jormag
To obtain this item, you have to complete the sub-achievement called “Memories of Ice and Persuasion”.
To do so, collect 250 fragmented Elder Dragon memories by doing events and defeating enemies in maps such as Frostgorge Sound, Bitterfrost Frontier, Bjora Marches, Drizzlewood Coast, and Icebrood Dragon Response Missions while the Purified Scale of Jormag effect is active.
Lingering Icebrood Aether
For this item, you have to defeat Drakkar during the meta-event in the Bjora Marches while wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon. Still Waters Speaking Waypoint – [&BDkMAAA=]. Check the event timers here.
Purified Icebrood Aether
To obtain this item interact with Aurene’s focusing crystal at the beginning of the puzzle at the Whispering Depths in Bjora Marches to get the Unpurified Aether.
You will need to carry this Unpurified Aether through the puzzle and purify it at the second focusing crystal located at the end of it.
Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Persuasion
Return to Leivas in Arborstone and buy the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Persuasion. It will cost:
- 200 – Jade Runestones
- 250 – Memories of Aurene
- 5 – Mystic Clovers
Fragment of Prismatic Persuasion
For the final item, you have to complete the Dragonstorm encounter with the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Persuasion in your inventory while wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon.
You can access this encounter by speaking to Brek Harrowflight in Hall of Monuments near Eye of the North Waypoint – [&BAkMAAA=] when the public instance opens.
You can also open a private instance at any time creating your own squad for it. Check the event timers here to see when the next public instance opens.
Once you get the Fragment of Prismatic Persuasion, return to Leivas in Arborstone and use it to redeem a Jormag-themed skin variant for any of the Aurene-themed Legendaries you have previously unlocked in your Legendary Armory.
