GW2. A complete guide on how to get your Kralkatorrik Variants for the Aurene Legendary Weapons in Guild Wars 2. End of Dragons.
Elder Dragons Variants
Each one of the Aurene Legendary Weapons has six variant skins themed in the style of the other Elder Dragons (Zhaitan, Mordremoth, Kralkatorrik, Jormag, Primordius, and Soo-Won). These skin variants have different appearances, visual effects, and animations, according to the theme of the Elder Dragon they are based on.

After you account-bind your first Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon, you will get the achievement called “Arms of a New Cycle” done, and you will receive a mail from Leivas letting you know about the existence of these Elder Dragon variants.
NOTE: These variants require you to participate in events that might be located in maps from older expansions or maps from the living world seasons, so you will need access to that content to complete the skin variant collection.
Kralkatorrik Variant

Credit to Lord Hizen for the video.For the Kralkatorrik Variants, first you need to buy four Scale Splinters of Kralkatorrik from Leivas in Arborstone, and combine them into one Scale Fragment of Kralkatorric by double-clicking any of them.
This will unlock the achievement called “Aurene’s Facet of Crystal”. This achievement consists in obtaining the following 7 items:
Scale Fragment of Kralkatorrik
This item is obtained after combining the four Scale Splinters of Kralkatorrik. Buy them from Leivas in Arborstone. They will cost you:
- 350000

- 2500
Research Notes + 75 
Gold - 100
Spirit Shards
Purified Scale Fragment of Kralkatorrik
To obtain this item, you have to defeat the Wrathbringer during the Thunderhead Keep meta-event that occurs north of History’s End Waypoint – [&BLsLAAA=]. Check the event timers here.
Completed Memory of Kralkatorrik
To get this item you need to complete the sub-achievement “Memories of Crystal and Fury” which consists in acquiring 250 fragmented Elder Dragon memories.
You will earn progress to this sub-achievement by completing events and defeating enemies in maps such as the Crystal Desert, Thunderhead Peaks, or Dragonfall with the effect of the Purified Scale Fragment of Kralkatorrik being active.
Lingering Branded Aether
To obtain this item, defeat the Shatterer in the Blazeridge Steppes – [&BE4DAAA=] or the Death-Branded Shatterer in the Jahai Bluffs – [&BE4DAAA=]. Check the event timers here.
Purified Branded Aether
To obtain this item, first, you need to interact with Aurene’s focusing crystal located at the entrance of the Sanctum of Nabkha – [&BPgJAAA=] in Crystal Oasis.
This way you will get the Unpurified Branded Aether you have to carry through the mini-dungeon. To complete this mini-dungeon you will need the Jackal mount and the “Shifting Sands” Mastery. Once you reach the end of the mini-dungeon, interact with the second focusing crystal to purify it.
Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Fury
Return to Leivas in Arborstone and buy the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Fury. This will cost:
- 200 – Jade Runestones
- 250 – Memories of Aurene
- 5 – Mystic Clovers
Fragment of Prismatic Fury
For this item, you have to defeat Kralkatorrik during Dragonfall’s meta-event wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon with the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Fury in your inventory. Pact Command Waypoint – [&BN4LAAA=]. Check the event timers here.
Once you get the Fragment of Prismatic Fury, return to Leivas in Arborstone and use it to redeem a Kralkatorrik-themed skin variant for any of the Aurene-themed Legendaries you have previously unlocked in your Legendary Armory.
