GW2. WvW Build. Power Core Warrior WvW Roaming Build. Warrior WvW. Small Scale WvW Build.
Role: Bruiser
The Core Warrior is a very simple WvW roaming build that deals tons of damage and can some hits. The use of CC allows you to land your burst skills whether it is the axe or hammer build.
Follow up after the CC with either the Axe 2/3 or the Greatsword F1/2, then swap weapons and perform the other weapon’s burst before the CC ends.
Axe Combo
- Axe 3 > Shield 4 > Axe 2 > Swap
- Greatsword F1 > 2 > 3
Greatsword Combo
- Greatsword 4 > Bull’s Charge > Greatsword F1 > 2 > Swap
- Axe 2 > 3
Hammer Variant
Using the Merciless Hammer trait, whenever you CC an enemy you gain adrenaline. This allows CC combos with the Hammer F1 Earthshaker to stun-lock enemies while using heavy-hitting attacks like Hammer 2, Greatsword F1, and Greatsword 2 in between the CCs.
Try to use smaller CCs like Earthshaker F1 and Hammer 4 to secure your longer CCs like Hammer 5 and Bull’s Charge. Use Damaging skills like Hammer 2 and Greatsword F1 once the longer CC skills have landed. Hammer 5 recharges the 2.
Hammer Combo
- Greatsword 4 > 5 > 3 > Swap
- Hammer F1 > Hammer 2 > 4 > 5 > 2 > Swap
- Greatsword F1 > 2

that isn’t going to work very well…. berserker armor sucks in wvw, not nearly enough sustain without any toughness… you realize that there are over 50 different gear stat combinations, yet all you use is berserker… learn something about gear and how it combines with a build before you go making a website dedicated to builds…
maybe check another build, they’re not all berserker, some knights pieces are added in, but yes full berserker is optimal for warrior because it already has high base health and armor
Was wondering how you feel this performs for small roaming groups compared to the spellbreaker and bladesworn ? Like should i only use this if i dont have access to those elite specs ? Or is it viable ? I have a little trouble with bladesworn and SB ( bladesworn i struggle with timing and SB with dmg
@VALLUN— go ahead and try that build roaming in WVW and watch as you die horribly, over and over again…. carrying a shield, and wearing a piece or two of knights gear is not going to save you, as the armor and shield alone doesn’t offery any sustain… while the shouts boost from tactics is helpful, i’d strongly suggest replacing strength or discipline with defense so that your shield is actually worth something… the offered build doesn’t demonstrate any synergy… for instance, for leg specialist to be at it’s best, you should run arms 3/1/3, as it offers fury on immobilize, increased crit for the bullcharge knockdown, and quicker strikes… as well as using superior sigils of force and incapacitation for more damage and more frequent immobilization…. or u could run force and impact to boost the knockdown power of bullcharge even further…. and forget runes of the brawler, if you’re going to run full zerker armor, go with runes of durability… another thing, don’t run two sets of melee weapons… you got to have some ranged…. give up the greatsword as warriors are super clunky with them, and opt for the rifle or bow….
You can see the video footage of the build used in WvW right above the place you entered this message. Leg specialist has an internal cooldown so adding more cripples won’t improve that, and running durability is fine, but won’t really make up for a lack of awareness. I think you need more time and practice before calling a build bad, because ranged weapons are much safer doesn’t mean you can’t use your knowledge to discern when to go in and when not to go in with a full melee build, which I’ll add is widely considered the best playstyle for warriors.
Hey, valum im a beguiner
Im very confuse with all the options you have to chose builds, weapon, stats, runes, sigils
So mi cuestion is this one, do you recomend celestial gear for have a litel bit of everithing, to
Tri diferent things buils, etc, to find your own?
Celestial is not really a “try everything stat” it is a hybrid stat. You wouldn’t want to use celestial to try out builds because you wouldn’t really be testing a build if you don’t see its potential. If you want to test builds, just go to pvp where you can use amulets for free.
I don’t know what made you thinks berserker armor sucks in WvW. Warrior already has a ton of base health and armor… I would say for power warrior builds berserker stat is the best choice for warriors in WvW… As for the toughness, you get some with runes. This warrior build has a good amount of healing through might and a lot of sustain with so much endurance regeneration with traits and food.
I don’t want to sound toxic, but maybe you should learn a bit more :/
Hi Vallun, is this build also viable for open world pve? Thanks alot for your build guides
should be yes
Sorry I forgot to mention I ment the Hammer/Greatsword build specifically.
Would u make any changes to that build for open world pve? maybe the runes and sigils?
I’m pretty new to GW2 so I am not that good in making builds myself yet so I like to follow guides for them.
For the axe variant would i be gimped if i use Speed relic instead?
It will be fine, Speed relic helps a lot to chase and land damage, go for it.
