Overview

The Grenade Holosmith is a DPS engineer build with plenty of CC, ranged options, mobility, and survivability. It is a great versatile build useful for any encounter due to these benefits.

Playstyle

Role: DPS

Build heat in Photon Forge as quickly as possible while prioritizing 3/4. You want to have high levels of heat to get more damage modifiers and effects from specific Holosmith skills, but without overheating. The skill progression can be thought of in three phases. The first is building heat and precasting mines for the burst. The second is performing the burst with all of the utility and tool belt skills after reaching 100 heat. Then the third phase is using Grenades and Sword skills while allowing heat to fall down to 50-75 before starting the rotation again to build more heat in Photon Forge.

Skill Rotation:

• Forge 3/4 + 111
• Precast Mine Field
• Get to 100 Heat then do the Burst Combo

Burst Combo After 100 Heat:

• Laser Disk
• Prime Light Beam
• Grenade Barrage
• Detonate Mines + Blade Burst
• Forge 3 (and 4 if you won’t overheat) then leave Forge

While waiting for your heat to diminish, use the Sword/Grenade Skills in this priority:

• Sword 2
• Grenade 2/4/5
• Sword 1
