GW2. WvW Build. Power Spellbreaker WvW Roaming Build. Warrior WvW. Small Scale WvW Build.
Role: Bruiser
The Power Spellbreaker is an aggressive melee Warrior build for WvW roaming with boon removal to take down heavy targets. Positioning and animation timing are key to everything on this build since warrior skills have very defined ranges and telegraphs. Dodge towards your enemy, not away, so you can stay on top of them.
Full Counter (F2) is the main mechanic of Spellbreaker, it will absorb damage and counterattack all foes around you with unblockable daze, and due to trait synergy, it will remove boons and refresh your other weapon burst skill, allowing you to do three bursts in a row with enough adrenaline generation.
With Hammer, you gain access to the Earthshaker F1 which allows you to engage on enemies with a leaping stun to enable your burst combos with CC chains. While you may not have the best mobility and are countered by stability, you can lock enemies down if you do manage to catch them.
Set up your burst by landing a good CC from either Staff 4 or Hammer F1 and then following through with your burst from Hammer 2 or Staff F1. Use Full Counter when they try to attack you back, then use the F1 burst again. Swap back to your other weapon set to regain adrenaline, bait cooldowns, and set up your next burst combo. Rampage is also great for the sheer amount of disables it has to set up your next combo.
Basic Combo
- Staff 2 > 3 > 4 > Swap
- Hammer 4 > 2 > F1 > 5 > 2 > Swap
- Staff F1
Alternative Combo
- Hammer 3 > Bull’s Charge > 2 > 4 > 5 > 2 > F1 > Swap
- Staff F1 > 2 > Rampage > 4 > 3 > 2 > 5 > Exit > Staff 4 > Swap
- Hammer F1 > 2
Avoid using Staff 4 when your weapon swap is still on cooldown, as most of its value is setting up your hammer burst. Much of your sustain relies on landing burst skills. Even Full Counter must hit an enemy if it triggers to grant you its benefits of the Adrenal Health trait. You should always try to be in melee range when using Full Counter so it has a chance to hit.

Hi there! Love these builds so muxh . Im stuck between this build and a meditrapper DH . Could you give me your personal choice for roaming between the 2?
Personally Id prefer DH because you have ranged damage and you will need it more often than you think
Hi ! My favourite spec is Spellbreaker. Would you take this build as it is for roaming with all the EoD specs around? Or would you change some sigils or runes? Thanks for answers !
This build is fine for now, but might change after October patch, so check again later or join GuildJen Discord for more discussions and updates
Was wondering an alternite rune to durability . Until i can afford and unlock 6 durability runes
Superior Rune of the Brawler maybe
Hello, is greatsword or hammer Spellbreaker build good for open world?.
I really, really want to use double dagger. I love the style. Any recommendations for that? 🙂 thank you!
It won’t be good, you will lose a lot of survival wihout shield but if you still wanna do it, just change one trait and take Dogged March.
Would this build work with dagger/shield and hammer?
That’s a setup for PvP because you can fight static in nodes, for WvW you can’t because you need mobility to get away or chase.
Makes sense, thank you very much!
I think this build is only 80% crit? should I use precision infusion for that or marauder stat for equipment?
Whatst he best gear for roaming and to be tanky
You might want to check the celestial warrior builds.
