Elder Dragons Variants
Each one of the Aurene Legendary Weapons has six variant skins themed in the style of the other Elder Dragons (Zhaitan, Mordremoth, Kralkatorrik, Jormag, Primordius, and Soo-Won). These skin variants have different appearances, visual effects, and animations, according to the theme of the Elder Dragon they are based on.
Of course, you will need one Aurene weapon first so make sure to check the following guide first if you haven’t yet:

After you account-bind your first Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon, you will get the achievement called “Arms of a New Cycle” done, and you will receive a mail from Leivas letting you know about the existence of these Elder Dragon variants.
Zhaitan Variants

Credit to Lord Hizen for the video.For the Zhaitan Variants, first, you need to buy four Scale Splinters of Zhaitan from Leivas in Arborstone and combine them into one Scale Fragment of Zhaitan by double-clicking any of them.
This will unlock the achievement called “Aurene’s Facet of Shadow”. This achievement consists in obtaining the following 7 items:
Scale Fragment of Zhaitan
This item is obtained after combining the four Scale Splinters of Zhaitan. Buy them from Leivas in Arborstone. They will cost:
- 350000
Karma - 10 – Chunks of Ancient Ambergris
- 2500
Research Notes + 75 
Gold - 100
Spirit Shards
Purified Scale Fragment of Zhaitan
This item can be obtained after capturing or defending the Cathedral of Zephyrs in Malchor’s Leap – [&BLACAAA=]
Completed Memory of Zhaitan
For this item, you will need to complete the sub-achievement called “Memories of Shadow and Death” while the Purified Scale Fragment of Zhaitan effect is active.
This sub-achievement requires you to get 250 Fragmented Elder Dragon Memories by doing events in the Ruins of Orr (Straits of Devastation, Malchor’s Leap, Cursed Shore, Siren’s Landing).
Killing champions or defeating the world boss Tequatl the Sunless will get you more Fragmented Elder Dragon Memories than regular events. Prioritize those when you can.
Lingering Risen Aether
To obtain this item, defeat the world-boss Tequatl the Sunless at the Splintered Coast Waypoint – [&BNABAAA=] in the Sparkly Fen while wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon. Check the event timers here.
Purified Risen Aether
For this one go to the start of the “Buried Archives” jumping puzzle located West of the Shripwreck Waypoint – [&BOQGAAA=] in the Cursed Shores, and interact with Aurene’s focusing crystal.
You will get the “Unpurified Aether” that you will have to carry and purify at Aurene’s focusing crystal located at the end of the Jumping Puzzle.
Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Shadows
Return to Leivas in Arborstone and buy the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Shadows. This will cost:
- 200 – Jade Runestones
- 250 – Memories of Aurene
- 5 – Mystic Clovers
Fragment of Prismatic Shadows
To obtain this item, you need to complete either “Defeat the Risen High Wizard and secure the Promenade of the Gods” or “Ensure that the Pact holds the Gates of Arah” near the Arah Waypoint – [&BCADAAA=].
You must be wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon and have the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Shadows in your inventory.
Once you get the Fragment of Prismatic Shadows, return to Leivas and use it to redeem a Zhaitan-themed skin variant for any of the Aurene-themed Legendaries you have previously unlocked in your Legendary Armory.
