Wuthering Waves Jinhsi Character Guide

WuWa. Wuthering Waves Jinhsi Guide Character Build. Spectro DPS.

Jinhsi is a 5-star character that wields a Broadblade and uses Spectro as her elemental damage. She is a main DPS character with large, flashy animations from the dragon sentinel she beckons to her aid.

Pros – Deals massive burst damage and can get free Intro/Outro swaps

Cons – Needs a team to generate her Forte, is not a good solo character. May be difficult to see through her large dragon animations.

Team Compositions – Characters that can buff Resonance Skill damage can increase Jinhsi’s main damage source, but also characters with Coordinated Attacks (deal damage while off-field) can generate Forte much faster for her. She works well in compositions that swap characters often.

Skills and Playstyle

Basic Attack – Four chain of attacks. After completing the full chain, the Resonance Skill will glow and allow you to enter the Incarnation state.

Resonance (E) – There are multiple variants of the Resonance Skill that have a different effect depending on the state of Jinhsi or your skill combos.

  • Normal Resonance – Charge toward the target and swing your sword. Only use this to engage on an enemy, but since it’s so low cooldown this is fine to use it this way.
  • Incarnation – After using four Basic Attacks, you can cast the Resonance Skill within the next 5 seconds to charge forward with a flourish of blades and enter the Incarnation state which will allow Jinhsi to float and perform new Basic Attacks and Resonance Skill.
  • Incarnation Resonance – While in the Incarnation state, her Resonance Skill will charge forward while in the air and summon a lightning strike.
  • Final Resonance – While in the Incarnation state, using the entire Four Basic Attack chain will enable a cutscene where a dragon unleashes a powerful dragon beam. Using this attack will enable your Outro/Intro skill character swap for free without using any Concerto once every 25 seconds. Damage will scale off of your Forte gauge.

Forte Gauge – Whenever any party member deals damage, increase your Forte by by 1. This can trigger once every three seconds per attribute, meaning a diverse composition with more than just Spectro damage sources will generate more Forte for Jinshi.

Also gain 2 Forte whenever a team member deals damage with a Coordinated Attack (damage dealt while that character is not the active character). This can trigger once every three seconds per attribute.

Consume all Forte when using the Final Resonance Skill to increase the damage that skill deals.

Resonance Liberation (R) – Deals an immense amount of damage to enemies in the area.

Rotation

  • Four Basic Attacks (Skip if Intro is used) > Q > E > Four Basic Attacks > R > E > Outro
  • Use Coordinated Attacks on other characters > Swap to Jinhsi > Repeat

Intro – Allows the use of the Resonance Skill to enter Incarnation state without using the entire Basic Attack chain.

Outro – Increases the amount of Forte generated by allies for 20 seconds by reducing the internal cooldown between each trigger to 1 second instead of 3.

Should you try to pull extra sequences for Jinhsi?

If you want to see much bigger burst damage, then the fifth and sixth sequences will max out the highest damaging skills for Jinhsi. Since she is a main DPS and most of the sequences give considerable damage buffs, you can decide how far you want to go. The second sequence is just quality of life that allows you to use your burst faster without charging it with coordinated attacks, but even as the potentially worst sequence, this is still very good. Go for one sequence if on a budget, go for four if you want to allow her to be played as a Sub DPS, and go all the way to six if you must have max damage.
