GW2. WvW Build. Condition Berserker WvW Roaming Build. Warrior WvW. Small Scale WvW Build.
Role: Bruiser
The Condition Berserker is a WvW roaming Warrior build that allows you to perform heavy condition damage burst combos while being extremely tanky. The weakness of the build is mostly being kited by ranged classes or being hit by burst damage that you can’t predict, but you can survive projectiles and reflect them with block skills (even the Aegis from Sundering Leap) due to the Shield Master trait.
The build revolves around entering Berserk Mode (F2) which grants many benefits such as a short damage mitigation buff, stability, quickness, and superspeed. Using the F2 recast you can leave Berserk Mode preemptively and regain all of these benefits to allow you more control and playmaking potential. For example, leaving Berserk Mode during your last Sword F1 can give it quickness to apply the burning more quickly, or waiting to enter Berserk Mode to do your burst so you can mitigate an incoming burst on you at the same time.
The main burst is landing your F1 in Sword or Mace when in Berserk Mode, but you don’t have much time to do this so you want to maximize how many you can do. Always try to use F1 as soon as possible then swap weapons to gain adrenaline and trigger your swap sigils which also give adrenaline if they hit. If you get hit at all then you will also gain adrenaline due to the Cleansing Ire trait, allowing you to instantly use your F1 after weapon swapping. If you can’t then double casting the block from either Mace 2 or Sword 5 will grant the extra adrenaline you need.
Basic Combos
- Torch 5 > Sword 2 > Torch 4 > Sundering Leap (or Bull’s Charge) > Headbutt
- F2 > Sword F1 > Swap > Mace F1 > Sword 4 > 5 > F1 > Swap > F1
If you can’t use your F1 before swapping weapon because of a lack of adrenaline, swap sooner to continue your bursts, but ideally two per swap. (F1 > Swap > F1 …. F1 > Swap > F1)
Sometimes you may want to delay the Mace F1 because enemies will often dodge it. Running next to the enemy when in Mace and in Berserk Mode might scare them into dodging which will allow you cast it into them afterwards. Baiting dodges is important because you have limited damage and you can’t afford to miss your bursts.
