“Sic ‘Em!” Soulbeast Roaming Build

GW2. “Sic ‘Em!” Soulbeast Roaming Build.

Overview

This version of Soulbeast is much more aggressively oriented. The modifier from “Sic ‘Em!” will grant you the damage instead of your pet if used while merged. Combined with quickness from the celerity sigil, the other damage modifiers from Beastmastery and Skirmishing, and the longbow’s range, you can have massive burst damage.

Synergy

Your sustain is mostly tied to regeneration from shouts and boon extension and intelligent usage of the Quick Draw trait which makes your next weapon ability recharge significantly faster after swapping weapons. This allows you to choose which skill you want more of, and for example lets you use Hunter’s Shot twice for great stealth uptime, or to Swoop twice to get out of range of the combat.

Beastly Warden is an interesting trait that makes the build have quite a bit of crowd control. The taunt from beast skills will trigger after your Smokescale’s Smoke Cloud and your Worldly Impact, however the cooldown for both is somewhat separate. If you are merged both cooldowns will be set off, but if your pet uses their taunt first, and then you merge and use Worldly Impact, you can essentially taunt twice in a row, allowing you to bait out lots of dodges or stun breaks from the enemy.

Playstyle

The basic burst combo is Merge > One Wolf Pack > “Sic ‘Em!” > Point Blank Shot > Rapid Fire > Smoke Assault > Worldly Impact then you can follow through with Maul and Swoop on greatsword.

Alternatives

Wilderness Survival can replace Skirmishing for a more sustain oriented build.
