DPS Mirage WvW Zerg Build

The DPS Mirage is a mesmer WvW Zerging build that has wide cleaving AoE from range with the greatsword and in melee with the spear to constantly pressure enemies. It maximizes this pressure by using the Ambushes and Dune Cloak, and even though it lacks boon removal and CC, it has consistent damage output due to its damage sources not really having a cooldown if played correctly.

Using a Dodge or Mirage Cloak will allow you to use your 1 skill on your weapon as an improve Ambush skill. On the greatsword it is a piercing beam great for hitting stacked enemies, and on the spear it is a flurry of attacks in front of you. Depending on whether your group is at range or pushing into melee will decide which weapon you want to use. There are also other ways to gain Mirage Cloak such as using Sand Through Glass, or picking up the Mirrors created by using False Oasis, Sand Through Glass, or Distortion (F4).

Dune Cloak also grants you Mirage Cloak to enable Ambush attacks, which is triggered whenever you use any shatter (F1-F4) with at least 2 clones. Dodging will grant one clone, and using a Deception utility skill with another clone out will spawn another clone, or using any clone generating weapon skills. This allows you to do combos that will double how many times you can Ambush.

• Dodge > Ambush (1) > False Oasis > F3 > Ambush > Pick Up Mirror > Ambush

• Dodge > Spear 2 > Ambush (1) > Jaunt > F1 > Ambush > 5 > 2 > Jaunt > F2 > Ambush
• Dodge > Ambush (1) > Spear 4 > 2 > Mirror Images + F4 > Ambush > Mirrors > Ambush
