GW2. WvW Build. Power Herald WvW Roaming Build. Revenant WvW. Small Scale WvW Build.
Role: Assassin
The Power Herald build for WvW is an assassin playstyle that can single out targets and burst them with ports and the sword abilities, but it also has good sustain and AoE for larger fights. It is one of the harder builds to learn because of the energy management, but by pooling energy you can perform big combos which can shift the momentum of a fight. It is susceptible to CC and focus, and since it is a melee build, knowing when to go in is key to performing well.
The energy refresh on legend swap allows for large burst combos. Setting up a CC from one and then following through with the burst from another legend stance provides the momentum required to secure kills. Despite being so aggressively built, the build can time Facet of Light strategically to convert the damage taken to healing, allowing it more risky positioning.
Use Staff 3 and 5 to stall time and survive for your next combo. Swap legends while camping the Staff to continuously gain the benefits of the Energy/Cleansing sigils until you can find an opening of attack. If extra cleansing is needed, use the F2 in the Glint stance, but otherwise, it should be used in the Shiro stance to remove boons before your burst combo.

Glint Combo
- Staff 5 > Facet of Elements Consume > Facet of Chaos Consume
- Sword 3 + Swap to Shiro + Impossible Odds > Sword 2 > 4 > 5

To paraphrase another user, should we make any sigil changes due to the brutal, vicious, cruel, unnecessary, and sadistic removal of the legend-swap + swap-sigil interaction?
Does this build still stand for herald viability after the quickness nerf?
Yes
would greatsword also work?
