Alacrity DPS Variant

Kiter 
The Condition Mirage Alacrity DPS is a mesmer build that can survive with high evasion and distortion uptime while also providing alacrity, might, and fury to allies. It can be a ranged tank or kiter for fights like Broken King or Sabetha, or a safe ranged alacrity DPS.
Dodging will allow you and all of your clones to perform the Chaos Vortex ambush skill on your staff 1. This will do great damage over time and share alacrity to nearby allies because of how many ways you can trigger a dodge.
Dodge (Mirage Claok) Sources:
- Dodge
- Heal skill False Oasis (trigger Adventure Relic and creates Mirage Mirror)
- Utility Crystal Sands (creates Mirage Mirror)
- Weapon swap (trigger Energy Sigil)
Because the staff 3 takes several seconds to create clones, Shattering F2 can be a loss in damage if you don’t have clones to Ambush with, so if you plan to shatter F2, precast the 3 before your shatter and then after a few seconds use F2 and then staff 2 to maximize the clone uptime while still getting the shatter burst.
Skill Priority:
- Staff 4 / Jaunt (instant casts)
- Get 3 Clones on Target (Staff 3/2)
- Dodge before maximum endurance > Staff 1 Ambush
- Crystal Sands
- Weapon Swap
- False Oasis Heal
- F2 Cry of Frustration when staff 3/2 are up and you are low on dodges
- Staff 5
The rhythm of your dodges is important because your and your clone’s ambush will not be enabled if you gain Mirage Cloak too quickly after the last one. Wait until your ambush finishes its animation to dodge again.

Kiter Variant
The Condition Mirage Alacrity DPS has a kiter variant, where you can still provide great damage with the same gear as the DPS version, but take a Sword / Shield instead of a second staff for more mobility, blocks, and CC. With the Inspiration traits you will provide Aegis to your allies when you gain distortion from signets which will protect allies while you are immune to damage, allowing you to also perform the role of a tank.
Mimic can be used with Signet of Illusions for refreshing shatters multiple times to allow you to double your Distortion uptime, making you extremely tanky for surviving while separated from the group when performing the kiting role.
