Role: Assassin

The Power Shatter Chronomancer is a WvW roaming mesmer build with boon rip and CC to burst its targets with massive combos. Though it is extremely powerful, it has almost no condition cleanse or sustain, meaning you need to get out if you can’t kill your target with your combo.

Mimic is an important skill to learn because it allows the double cast of one utility skill, either Blink or Mirror Images. For disengaging fights, a double blink is invaluable for getting out of range to break combat. For huge burst combos, the extra clones from a double Mirror Images can create huge burst combos, or even allow you to begin those combos with no clones built up. Decide before using any of these utilities what the situation is, and which you will want to Mimic.

The main damage comes from the F1 shatter, which can be used twice due to the Shatter Storm trait. Getting 3 clones with your Greatsword 2/4, then the next 3 clones from the Illusionary Reversion trait and Mirror Images allows massive 6 clone shatter combos. You can go even further than this and perform this combo inside your Continuum Rift, and then do it again.

Skill Combos:

Basic Burst: Greatsword 2 (in melee range) > 3 > Mirror Images + F1

CC Combo: Sword 3 > 3 > Shield 5 > Gravity Well > Swap > Greatsword 4 > 2 > 3 > F1

Continuum Rift Example 1: Shield 4 > Sword 3 > 3 > Shield 5 > Continuum Split + Gravity Well > Swap > Greatsword 4 > 2 > 3 > Mirror Images > F1 > F1 > Leave Continuum Split > Repeat from Greatsword 4

Continuum Rift Example 2: Greatsword 5 > Continuum Split + Gravity Well > Blink + Greatsword 2 > 3 > Mirror Images > F1 Greatsword 4 > Leave Continuum Split > Greatsword 4 > 2 > 3 > Mirror Images + F3 > F1 > F1

Landing your Gravity Well will be easier on targets who are already stunned, but sometimes you don’t land the first stun because the enemy dodges, and then they are still susceptible to Gravity Well because they are out of dodges. To more easily land your Gravity Well on moving targets, enable the Skill Retargeting and Instant Ground Targeting settings, then just move your cursor where you want it to land in the middle of the cast time.
