GW2. WvW Build. Power Hammer Dragonhunter WvW Roaming Build. Guardian WvW. Small Scale WvW Build.
Role: Assassin
The Power Hammer Dragonhunter is a guardian WvW roaming build that may be slow but has massive damage combos enabled by the CC of the hammer and Spear of Justice. CC combos to trigger its traps for burst damage.
Pushing and pulling enemies through the Test of Faith can be done using Hammer 4, Shield 5, or F1. This is 2 pushes and 1 pull, so to get the most damage you’ll want to open with a push and not a pull, meaning you want your enemies to be inside your Test of Faith when you begin the combo. So after you land your F1, you want to port towards them using Sword 2 or Judge’s Intervention to place the Test of Faith on top of them and begin the combo.
Test of Faith Combo: F1 > Sword 2/Judge’s Intervention > Test of Faith > Shield 5 > Swap to Hammer > F1 Pull > Hammer 2 > 4 > 3 > 2
Another combo involves trapping your enemy inside your Hammer 5 ring where they cannot escape easily unless they have stability. There you can place all your damage on top of them.
Longbow Combo: F1 > F1 Pull > Hammer 5 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 2 > Sword 2 > 3
If your F1 does not land, these combos can’t be done as easily, so try to bait cooldowns and dodges before attempting to land your F1, or using Judge’s Intervention to hide the animation. Once you do land the tether you want to go for one of these combos. Otherwise, kite and use defensive cooldowns, conserving your damage cooldowns for the burst combos.
