Role: Assassin

The Power Shatter Core Mesmer is a WvW roaming build that can do massive bursts from stealth for potential one-shots. It is often used for ganking or picking off backliners. Stealth allows the telegraphs of the greatsword combo to be hidden for unpredictable bursts. Despite lacking sustain, the stealth prevents you from being focused long enough to get in to land the burst and then get out.

Begin any encounter by finding your target, which should be something squishy you can one-shot. Use the Torch 4 stealth or Mass Invisibility, then cast Greatsword 2 Mirror Blade preferably in melee range or Blink to get in range so that it bounces between you and the target, giving you more might, but shatter F3 Diversion before the Mirror Blade lands to daze the enemy and gain damage modifiers. As the Mirror Blade lands, use F1 Mind Wrack. Follow up with the GS 3 Mind Stab.

Burst Combo:

• Stealth
• Blink
• Greatsword 2 + F3
• F1 + Greatsword 3

For a more devastating but more telegraphed burst since your damage will be split up and reveal you from stealth before the burst, you can open with Greatsword 4 to bait a dodge or Sword 3 to immobilize before swapping and using your Greatsword 2. After downing an enemy, use stealth, distortion, or the blind from F2 to stomp them.
