GW2. WvW Build. Celestial Mirage Roaming Build. Mesmer World vs World.

The Celestial Mirage is a WvW Mesmer build that uses the Dagger Ambush with the Infinite Horizon trait to heavily pressure single targets. The Dagger ambush not only applies damaging conditions but also dazes the target, so it can trigger many of the Domination traits to quickly give 25 stacks of vulnerability and weakness to your target, but also grant you quickness.
While it has a huge amount of damage from the dagger projectiles, these can be countered with reflects. Swap to Sword/Torch when you are against these and use the daze from the sword ambush similarly, or when you need mobility to escape you can also use the distance from the leap to create distance. Remember to detarget for better positioning.
Generate clones with Sword 3 and Dagger 2, but also dodging will summon a clone. These clones will attack your target with your ambush skill, so only Shatter your F2 when you can regenerate those clones or if you need Distortion. Make sure to use your dodges efficiently, don’t spam them all just to be able to use your ambush ability. Space them out so you can avoid attacks and then retaliate with the ambushes which will also daze and give you some more time before you need to dodge again.
Opener: Torch 5 > Sword 3×2 > Dodge > Sword Ambush > Jaunt + F2 > Swap > Dagger 2 > Dodge > Dagger Ambush > Pistol 4/5 > Dodge > Dagger Ambush
Because you can’t dodge while immobilized or stunned, try to save your Illusionary Ambush utility skill for those moments. It will randomly port you and your clones to a location around your target, also allowing you to chase targets or to fill the gap in your rotation of dodges and ambushes.

Dear Jen or Vallun, tell me how to do more condi cleanse with Chaos Variant and is it possible to replace runes with a Traveler
You can use traveler yes, and for the cleanse if you need more you can take Mantra of Resolve instead Illusionary Ambush if you really need it, but I think by having double cleansing sigil is enough alredy, your call.

So I’ve not dabbled much with WvW, so forgive ignorance here. Would this be viable in matched PvP as well or would it require a ton of tweaking?
no just put on wizard amulet and you’re good to go
Is it possible to use staff in place of sword/torch? What changes should be made?
I don’t think it’s good with staff but you can sure. Take Blinding Dissipation and Mirage Mantle traits.
If I don’t want to use celestial stats what would be the best alternative?
If you don’t mind being squishy u could play a power variant with berserker or for condi use viper and trailblazer mix imo

outside of not having movement speed from runes, would something like Rune of the Berserker also be good?
You can use any rune, but movement speed is super important, so any other will be bad
With the latest patch, phantom razor doesnt daze anymore. Cripple seems much worse in comparison, and doesnt trigger any of the interruption traits. Would chaos be better? Or is this build dead?
Probably is dead, builds are still under revision though
