GW2. Raid Build. Condition Chronomancer DPS Build. Quickness / Alacrity DPS. Mesmer PvE. Group PvE Build.
Role: DPS or Tank
The Condition Chronomancer DPS is a combo/resource-oriented Mesmer build that can give Quickness or Alacrity to allies; but is mostly favorable for condition fights in PvE raids or strikes or when tanking a boss that has high attack speed, allowing great value on the Confusion it stacks up. It can also forego the boon-sharing capability for a pure DPS playstyle by swapping the grandmaster trait in Chronomancer.
Always open with Torch 5 > Axe 3 > Axe 2 > Swap > Staff 2 to gain three clones for your Continuum Split combo. You can use Mirror Images and Staff 2 for a quicker opener, but Mirror Images inside the Continuum Split allows for a bigger burst.
Continuum Split Combo
- Gain three clones
- Staff 3 + Continuum Split > 4 > Mirror Images + F2
- Signet of the Ether > Staff 3
- Leave Continuum Rift
- Repeat from Staff 3
Depending on the encounter timing and your progression through your rotation, you can do the combo using your Axe/Torch set, but it is preferable with Staff due to the lower animations required.
Skill Priority
Always Shatter F2 Rewinder at 3 clones when on top of the enemy to hit with the fourth instance of your shatter which occurs around your character (Illusionary Persona). Hitting with the F2 shatter reduces its cooldown, so you must hit with all of the clones and your character shatter to maximize how many times you can use it. Mirror Images can be used to quickly meet the 3 clone shatter. Only Shatter F2 as it is the most important and by far for your damage, but you can use F1/F3 to give out extra quickness if necessary. F4 Distortion should always be used if you can save yourself from dying to mechanics.
Focus on using each phantasm (Torch 5, Staff 3) as soon as possible, then swap weapons and use the next phantasm. Fill in the gaps between your weapon swaps with other weapon skills. Axe 2 and Torch 5 have decent aftercasts that can be shortened by Axe 3 and Torch 4 respectively. Prefer to use Signet of Ether to repeat your Staff 3.
Basic Skill Rotation
- Staff 3 > 4 > 5 > Swap
- Torch 5 > 4 > Axe 2 > 3 > 2
CC – Crowd Control Skills
