GW2. Diviner Soulbeast WvW Roaming Build.

NOTE: After May 11 balance patch, this build no longer work as expected, due to the changes on Resistance.

This Soulbeast build strikes a balance between sustain through boon duration and damage from ferocity for handling the many different roaming situations one can encounter in WvW. Though it lacks condition cleanse and pure burst investment, it uses the Essence of Speed trait to extend the duration of its boon applications to gain very long durations for powerful boons such as Resistance and Quickness.

  1. I’m not sure I see much benefit on running diviners over marauder, particularly when you don’t have any condi removal. Compared to running a Wilderness Survival build like the Metabattle Sic ‘Em Roamer, you do get some damage, but you don’t have any revealed to deal with thieves and boon corrupt will be a very hard counter.

    Personally, I’ve gone with Marks/BM/SB in order to get Lead the Wind. This still gives better burst over the Wilderness Survival build and the piercing is particularly helpful for multiple enemy encounters. Since it doesn’t rely on boons, I can fit Sic ‘Em on my utilities and can run Bear Stance to deal with conditions.
