GW2. Guide on how to create your own legendary back item Warbringer from World vs World.
Getting Started
Warbringer is a legendary back item exclusively from World vs World. You will need to play the game mode to earn WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets mostly, and also WvW ranks to be able to buy certain items, other currency from WvW will be needed as well.
I will show on this guide 5 simple steps to organize and make the process easier. First a list of the account bound items that you will need which can be the limitations (time-gated). Then each major Gift needed for the Mystic Forge.
Account Bound Requirements
Warbringer have two main limitations that you need to consider before starting the process:
- 2800 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets
- WvW Rank 350
You can earn a maximum of 365 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets per week, so the minimum time needed to reach 2800 will be 8 weeks, this is the time-gated element, earned by keeping your participation in WvW over time.
WvW Ranks might take some time, it’s impossible to estimate how much time will take if you just started to play and it will depend on how much time you will spend daily in WvW. I recommend that you use XP boosters and try to be actively playing. I recommend you check my WvW Beginner’s Guide for more information:
Other requirements:
- 1 Commander’s Compendium
- This is the “commander tag” you will need to spend 300 Gold and 250 Badge of Honor to buy from Legendary Commander War Razor
- 4 Gift of Battle
- You can only obtain this from the Gift of Battle Reward Track. In other words you will need to complete the track a total of FOUR times
- 1 Legendary Spike
- Obtained as random drop from enemy players and NPC in WVW
- 2 Vision Crystal
- Can be obtained mostly trough ascended crafting
- 5 Bloodstone Brick
- 100 Pile of Bloodstone Dust
- 2 Obsidian Shard
- 10 Thermocatalytic Reagent
- 5 Dragonite Ingot
- 100 Dragonite Ore
- 2 Obsidian Shard
- 10 Thermocatalytic Reagent
- 5 Empyreal Star
- 100 Empyreal Fragment
- 2 Obsidian Shard
- 10 Thermocatalytic Reagent
- 1 Augur’s Stone
- Purchased from Miyani or any Mystic Forge Attendant for 20 Spirit Shards
- 5 Bloodstone Brick
- Can be obtained mostly trough ascended crafting

- Earned in WvW or can be purchased from Skirmish Chest
- 500 Testimonies of Heroics
- Earned by ranking up in WvW or can be purchased from Skirmish Chest

- Mystic Forge (30% chance approx)
- 10 Obsidian Shard
- 10 Mystic Coin
- 10 Glob of Ectoplasm
- 10 Mystic Crystal (Purchased from Miyani)
- Daily Login Reward (Day 28)
- Chest of Legendary Crafting Materials (7 clovers)
- BUY-4373 Fractal Vendor (2 per day)
- 150 Fractal Relic
- 1 Mystic Coin
- 3 Glob of Ectoplasm
- 2 Spirit Shards
- WvW/PvP Reward Track
- Repeatable: 2 clovers per container
- Non-Repeatable: 7 or more clovers per container
- Grothmar Valley Reward Track (9 clovers)
- Bjora Marches Reward Track (11 clovers)
- Drizzlewood Coast Reward Track (14 clovers)
- Mystic Forge (30% chance approx)
Step 1: Gift of Fortune
Gift of Fortune is a gift used to create the first set of legendary weapons as well as legendary back pieces. Making this is easy enough because it’s mostly materials that you can buy with Gold, the only exception are the Mystic Clovers. You will need to use the Mystic Forge to create these items.

- 1 Gift of Might
- 250 Vicious Fang

- 250 Vicious Claw
- 250 Ancient Bone
- 1 Gift of Magic
- 250 Vial of Powerful Blood
- 250 Powerful Venom Sac

Step 2: Gift of Conquering
Gift of Conquering is an exclusive gift to make Warbringer but also to make Conflux (the legendary ring from World vs World).
In this case 3 of the 4 items needed are account bound and you will also need a level 500 crafting discipline, the items are the following:
- Legendary Spike
- Chance to drop randomly from enemy players and NPCs in WvW. They have no other purpose so try to remember not to sell them
- 4 Gift of Battle
- From WvW Reward Track
- 250 Memory of Battle
- From WvW reward tracks or purchased from Trading Post
- 2 Vision Crystal (Requires level 500 crafting discipline)
- 2 Augur’s Stone
- 10 Dragonite Ingot
- 10 Empyreal Star
- 10 Bloodstone Brick
Step 3: Gift of Warfare
Creating a Gift of Warfare will need some materials but also some items that you can only buy with account bound currency from WvW.

- 20 Vial of Powerful Blood
- 50 Vial of Potent Blood
- 250 Pile of Bloodstone Dust

- Purchased from Legendary Commander War Razor in WvW for 500 Testimony of Heroics
- 20 Ancient Bone
- 50 Large Bone
- 250 Empyreal Fragment

- Essence of Carnage
- Purchased from Legendary Commander War Razor in WvW for 500 Memory of Battle
- 20 Armored Scale
- 50 Large Scale

- Purchased from Legendary Commander War Razor in WvW for 350 WvW Skirmish Claim Ticket
- 20 Vicious Claw

- Salvaging high level exotic gear yields between 0 and 3 Glob of Dark Matter.
- Essence of Annihilation
Step 4: Warcry
Warcry is the precursor for this legendary, that you can make in the Mystic Forge by combine four different back items purchased from Legendary Commander War Razor. You will need a minimum WvW Rank of 350 and a Commander Tag for the last tier of back items needed. A total of 2450 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets will be needed.
