Power Bladesworn DPS Build

GW2. Raid Build. Power Bladesworn DPS Build. Alacrity Bladesworn. Warrior PvE.

Last Update: September 2024

Role: DPS

The Power Bladesworn DPS is a warrior that deals heavy burst damage but requires good timing to land the massive Dragon Slashes. It is a high risk high reward playstyle, but with decision making and some prediction, it can overcome mechanics and progress fights faster. It also can also optionally provide Alacrity to the group.

Using Ammunition skills and Explosions will grant damage modifiers and combined with the Overcharged Cartridges which increases the damage done by Explosives, you can maximize the damage of your hardest hitting skill, the Dragon Slash. The entire skill progression can be organized into three parts. Because you need plenty of flow to perform your burst, you want to frontload your flow generation.

Opener Flow Generation:

  1. “To the Limit!” as soon as you get in combat
  2. Gunblade 5 + Flow Stabilizer
  3. Tactical Reload
  4. Flow Stabilizer x2

After using your opener, you will be fine just using Flow Stabilizer whenever you have time to without worrying about doing the opener again. You can now perform your burst combo where most of your damage occurs. Overcharged Cartridges and Pistol 5 grant damage modifiers for your massive Dragon Slash. Only use Dragonspike Mine right after a Dragon Slash to double cast it.

Burst Combo:

  • Overcharged Catridges
  • Pistol 5/4
  • Dragon Trigger (F2)
  • Dragon Slash: Force (1)
  • Dragonspike Mine (if off cooldown)
  • Dragon Trigger (F2)
  • Dragon Slash: Force (1)

Dragon Slash will place you in the Gunblade. Use the Gunblade 2/3/4 skills while waiting for your weapon swap cooldown (F1). This is also a good time to cast your Tactical Reload. Then swap to your Axe and use the 2/3 if you have time to, but don’t delay the burst combo to do so if Dragon Trigger is off cooldown. Begin the burst combo again and loop between the filler Gunblade/Axe skills and the burst combo.

Filler Before Burst:

  • Gunblade 2/3/4
  • Swap to Axe (F1) (Wait for F2 if its cooldown is similar time to your F1)
  • Axe 2 > 3 > Overcharged Cartridges > 4/5 > F2

You can cast the 4 skill in Dragon Trigger and Pistol 4 to gain aegis to block mechanics that would interrupt your skill rotation. Also the 5 skill in Dragon Trigger can be used strategically to allow you to precast Dragon Slash while doing mechanics. Even if you don’t need the mobility, use the 5 skill to port which is the only way to trigger the Peitha Relic and get the huge damage modifier before your Dragon Slash. Great timing can allow you to do some massive damage.

CC: Gunblade 3 when using 2 or 3 ammo, or Dragon Slash when using the

  1. May want to change the overview since it still says “Banner Bladesworn”

  2. Hi! Ty for the build. I’m currently playing this version but with a sword replacing the axe.

    I have some question tho.

What damage scaling does the Gunsaber have? Does it inherit the stats of the equipped weapons? I mean, does it calculate an arithmetic mean between the two weapons (in case two are equipped) or does it act like a greatsword and that’s it? Also, how does all the dragon force skill scale? I appreciate any information regarding this!
