GW2. WvW Build. Power Bladesworn Roaming Build. Tactics / Defense. Warrior World vs World 2023.
Last Update: January 2023
The Axe Bladesworn is a warrior WvW Roaming build with overwhelming damage and uses Speed Runes to be able to catch up to its targets. Also it has great sustain through might generation and shouts.
Use the Dragon Slash Boost to stun targets and get in melee range to do heavy burst combos from either the gunblade or the axe/pistol, or use it without a target to gain distance from enemies when low on cooldowns or in a bad situation.
The build can be extremely susceptible to CC and conditions, so try to kite in between your burst combos and save Balanced Stance/Shake it Off for when you can’t just heal through the pressure.
With Rifle, open on targets with Explosive Shell on Rifle 3 to get damage modifiers, then use “For Great Justice!” for might and fury, then unload your Volley to deal damage. If they dodge it then you can go in with Dragon Slash Boost and follow up with your Gunsaber abilities for burst damage while they are stunned. Break Step and swap to rifle with Brutal Shot to get back to range and repeat with the Rifle opener.
Prefer to use ammo skills once they are full on ammo to get the cooldown reduction to all your skills from Lush Forest, but don’t hesitate to spam your skills to survive intense pressure or to push for a kill.

does the sigil from the secondary weapon set (shield: sigil of perception in this case) proc for bladesworn builds?
it only triggers more stacks when it is on, but you can maintain stacks if you swap weapons out of combat, essentially meaning you can stay on the stack weapon until its charged, then swap to the other and keep the stacks so long as you dont swap weapons and dont go underwater (unless your underwater weapon has bloodlust)
thank you for answering! my last question would be which sigil would you recommend more, bloodlust vs perception?
Thanks for the great guide Vallun! Would you still use Tactical Reload after the October patch?
either that or the warbanner depending on if you like large fights or not
