Role: Assassin

The Power Scrapper is a WvW roaming build with high burst damage from damage modifiers combined with the Grenade Kit. Damage dealt turns into barrier from the Impact Savant trait meaning a more aggressive playstyle will get rewarded with more sustain. However, this build is very susceptible to bursts and conditions, so it is important to use your stability and superspeed to position yourself between your bursts. Positioning is key for survival as well since it doesn’t have big escape capabilities.

Dodging often will grant you the Explosive Entrance buff to make your next strike damage deal an extra burst. Liberally dodging in between your attacks will increase your damage greatly, but try to dodge specific attacks.

Try always when possible to stack the damage modifiers before your bursts, especially for the trait Object in Motion. Superspeed, Swiftness, and Stability will contribute 5% extra damage each. Having Stability and using blast and leap finishers will grant Might boosting your damage even more which can also be gained by using Elixirs and by the synergy, having Might will give you the Fury the build needs.

Survive by positioning and pelting enemies with grenades while kiting until you see an opening for a burst combo.

• Precast damage modifiers = Elixir U + Elixir H + Toss Elixir U
• Hammer 5 > Grenade Barrage + Swap to Grenade Kit > Grenade 2 > 5 > 4
• Function Gyro > Hammer 3 > 2

Grenade Tips

Set up your Ground Targeting option as “Instant” as well as enable “Skill Retargeting” and practice aiming with your Grenade Kit while moving for better accuracy. This improves your damage output while under pressure or kiting drastically. If you still have issues to land grenades you can try using the option “Snap Ground Target to Current Target” and the grenades will go to your target as long you are in range, just make sure to detarget before using any other AoE like if you want to throw an elixir at your location.
