GW2. A complete achievement guide for “Someone in Need” hidden achievement. Guild Wars 2.

Someone in Need – 15AP (Hidden)

A new hidden achievement inside the Community category has been added with the Extra Life 2022 event. This collection has 13 steps that must be completed in sequence, involving some jumping puzzles and access to hidden areas around the world. You will need the Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire expansions if you want to complete this.

The reward is a new novelty chair:

Step 1: Meeting Zinnia

Go to Diverse Ledges Waypoint in Lion’s Arch and head north until you find the cave entrance on the left side. Once inside talk with Zinnia to unlock the collection.

Step 2: A Collective History Vol. 1

Go to Old Piken Ruins Waypoint in Iron Marches and head west to find the entrance of the Chaos Crystal Cavern jumping puzzle. April will appear at the entrance to confirm where it is. Once inside you should stay on the ground and head directly towards the collection icon, interact with the item and you will obtain a special skill to identify the real April between other holograms. There is a timer but you can restart when you want (The real one does not clap and only runs). After you complete this, proceed to complete the jumping puzzle normally as the item will be next to the final chest. If you need help for the jumping puzzle check the video below.

Step 3: Return to Zinnia

Go back to Lion’s Arch inside the cave and talk with Zinnia to proceed with the next step.

Step 4: A Collective History Vol. 2

Go to Cereboth Waypoint in Kessex Hills and head south to find the entrance of The Collapsed Observatory jumping puzzle. April will appear at the entrance to confirm where it is. This time you need to collect 3 orbs under 1 minute, one of them is at the start, one at the end of the puzzle next to the chest and the other is below the chest in the corridor. You can use portals or the rewinder ability to not lose too much time or if you fall. Once you get all three head back to the book next to the final chest. Step 5: Return to Zinnia

Go back to Lion’s Arch inside the cave and talk again with Zinnia to proceed with the next step.

Step 6: A Collective History Vol. 3

Go to Old Sledge Site Waypoint in Mount Maelstrom, and head northeast towards the collection icon, there you will find April and a portal that will get you inside the Hidden Garden jumping puzzle. As soon as you enter you will find a collection item to interact with to collect a total of 15 purple mesmer orbs. There is no time limit and you do not need to complete the jumping puzzle (grabbing each essence to open final chest) but you will need to explore all the same areas to complete it. Step 7: Return to Zinnia

Go back to Lion’s Arch inside the cave and talk with Zinnia to proceed with the next step.

Step 8: A Collective History Vol. 4

Go to Spiral Waypoint in Caledon Forest, and head south towards the Morgan’s Leap jumping puzzle. April will show up at the start. At the end you will find the chest and a book, but from here you must continue towards the Dark Reverie jumping puzzle. Next to the final chest you will find another item to interact and then the book. If you need help with these jumping puzzles check the videos below.

Step 9: Return to Zinnia

Go back to Lion’s Arch inside the cave and talk again with Zinnia to proceed with the next step.

Step 10: A Collective History Vol. 5

Go to Dragon’s Passage Waypoint in Tangled Depths, and head north towards the underwater tunnel and head east through the water, resurfacing when you are below the Ogre camp to the Disco Dancing Delver jumping puzzle. Once you get inside you will find many of April’s holograms. Interacting with each of them will require you to answer with a specific emote:

“What does an Elder Dragon do when its belly is full?”

“No matter how much I cheered, I just couldn’t get the queen to notice me during the royal parade at the Queen’s Jubilee. She’s like… the most powerful mesmer in the world!”
- /wave
“I wonder how Zinnia’s doing right now…?”
- /cry
“Oh no! Abaddon is standing behind you! What do you do?”
- /dance

Go back to Lion’s Arch inside the cave and talk with Zinnia to proceed with the next step.

Step 12: Receipt from the Queen’s Roast

Go to Derelict Delve Waypoint in Desert Highlands and head south towards the cave, April will appear at the entrance to confirm the location.

NOTE: This step is related to the Rune-Locked Doors puzzle, you need to do a few tasks inside the rooms. But if you never did this before, you will need to unlock the rooms first.
