Support Firebrand is the essential WvW support, giving out plenty of stability, aegis, healing, boons, and even a decent amount of cleansing and utility.

Stability is the most important aspect of this build, and keeping a good uptime of it on your squad requires a rotation between multiple skills. Mostly you want to apply stability right before engaging with enemies, to keep your team from being controlled and to let them use their skills.

• “Stand Your Ground!”
• F3 Tome (check internal CD)
• Skill 5 in F3 Tome
• Mantra of Liberation
• Hallowed Ground

Hallowed Ground provides the most stability, but it only pulses in the vicinity of the spell animation. Use this when your squad needs to hold a position or place it ahead of where your group will be passing through, otherwise, the duration will fall off as your team moves out of it.

While you are moving, use “Stand Your Ground!” because it has a decently low cooldown and a longer duration for being an instant cast skill.

The Mantra of Liberation is low stacks of Stability but provides a quick stun break to allies. Prefer to save and use this to fill in the gaps of stability of your more powerful sources or for a quick stun break for allies who are already stunned. Giving stability to an ally who is already stunned does not prevent them from being stunned.

Entering the F3 tome will trigger a Stun Break and Stability from the Indomitable Courage trait for your party, but it’s a bit hard to control and very long cooldown, and since you need to trigger this to use your F3 tome’s abilities, you will need to use this early on anyway.

Unbroken Lines (F3 Tome 5) is a casted single stack of stability and Aegis but can be a nice filler in between situations where you aren’t sure if you need to waste a full stability cooldown or not.

Otherwise, rotate through your weapon and tome skills to provide what your party needs:

• Healing: Dodge, F2 Tome 4, Staff 2/4

• Aegis: Shield 4, Mantra of Solace, F3 Tome 5

• Cleanse: Staff 3+2, F2 Tome 2/5, F3 Tome 4 (resistance)

Alternatives

• Weapon: Replace Staff with Spear
• Weapon: Replace Axe with Mace for extra Aegis and Protection
