The Support Scourge is a necromancer build that can give barrier to its allies in WvW squads to keep them alive while also providing boons and ripping boons from enemies. Specifically, giving barrier to allies will cleanse conditions from them, and give vigor, might, and extra health. Using your Manifest Sand Shade F1 will help to apply more barrier to your squad, as it will cast your F2-5 abilities around those shades and yourself. Using your Shade abilities off cooldown is necessary to sustain these benefits.
While you do not actively heal much, healing power still increases the barrier you provide. You can give some minor regeneration when dodging to create Marks of Blood.
Applying Barrier: F1, F3, F5, Sand Flare, Serpent Siphon
Because these shade abilities have very little time and animation investment, you can use your weapon skills to rip boons or CC enemies.

Ranged Boon Removal: Well of Corruption, F5, Axe 3, Serpent Siphon
Melee Boon Removal: Ghastly Breach, Greatsword 4, Trail of Anguish

Support Scourge is by far my favorite build for WvW. I’ve been running it for the last year plus, and it warms my black heart to see it finally being accepted/embraced. 🙂
Couldn’t it be the staff instead of the Greatsword? I don’t have the expansion to use Greatsword in scourge

I can’t quite afford full minstrel gear
You can do celestial or any other stat with healing like cleric
you can also buy the equipment from the universal wvw vendor, there you can select stats (including minstrel)
