GW2. WvW Build. Support Specter WvW Zerg Build. Thief WvW. Large Scale WvW Build.
The Support Specter is a Thief WvW build with plenty of single target healing but also a good AoE barrier and boon application from the Scepter, Wells, and Shroud abilities. It also can secure kills for its allies by removing boons and locking down single enemies where they can be killed without the support of their team.
Mainly you want to find a high-priority ally in your party to support and put a Personal Target on them. Make sure to find keybinds for this and to Take Personal Target to use the Scepter 3 on them. This heals and ports you towards them. Afterward, you can use the second ability which turns into pulses of Barrier, Regeneration, and Vigor. Use Scepter 2 to pump the AoE barrier in your party then swap weapons to regain some initiative.
Use Well of Gloom for Resistance and Well of Bounty for Stability and Resistance on your allies. Any port skill including Wells and Scepter 3 will give a small heal to allies but also give you Shadow Shroud. Make sure you port near as many allies as possible for the most generation of Shroud. Going into Shadow Shroud F2 will tether your current target and give them boons when using skills. Use 5 2 3 in Shroud for stability, cleansing, and barrier, but the Blast Finisher from 5 and 2 can be used to grant stealth with the smoke field of the Pistol 5 after leaving Shroud. With stealth, you can use the stealth attack of the Scepter (1) which grants great healing to allies near the target.
Basic Ally Healing Rotation: Scepter 3 > 3 (or Scepter 2 until out of initiative) Wells > Shroud 5 2 3 111 2 > Leave Shroud > Pistol 5 (Stealth) > 1 (Shadowsquall) > Scepter 3
Use Scepter 2 to give barrier and protection if necessary, this skill has Ground Target so it will be easier to aim at different allies.
Not only can you heal, but in between that you can secure kills with the F1 Siphon. Due to Bountiful Theft, this will steal 2 boons which prioritize removing Aegis and Stability first. It will also deal a bit of damage due to the Mug trait. This is important because when you land Siphon it can trigger the Basilisk and Devourer venoms which can Stun and Immobilize the target. So always try to share venoms with allies right before going for a kill, then use F1 Siphon on the nearest enemy.
Basic Enemy Target Combo: Devourer Venom + Basilisk Venom > F1 > Scepter 33

I have a friend that really wants to make this work. I hope this helps him.
Any well or field plus short bow and Karakosa relic provide nice AOE support to sink initiative points.
On October 9th, the skills 2 on the scepter are going to be really effective for providing protection, might, and barrier from range. Additionally, with the changes to Shadow Refuge, this should be a viable option for generating more protection. This can be especially helpful for providing super speed and barrier as people run through.
While I think this build is excellent for 5-15 man zerging, I think this really isn’t capturing what Specter can do in a 40+ man squad. I would heavily recommend retooling this guide to include a “large Zerg” build that focuses on the Shadow Arts trait line and Shadow Refuge.
