Condition Axe Daredevil Roaming Build

Role: Assassin

The Condition Axe Daredevil is a Thief WvW Roaming build that uses mobility and dodges to stall until it can set up its spinning axes to land big condition burst combos. While it has great survivability and pressure, it can be very predictable and countered by projectile reflection and cleanses.

The main damage comes from the Axe 2 poison and converging those axes back on your target with the Axe 3. The 3 skill is also an evade that ports you to the target and puts you in melee range to use the Dagger 5 which stealths you and allows you to land the stealth attack (1) which can also be repeated in your next Axe 3.

Basic Combo: Axe 2 > 2 > 3 > Dagger 5 > 1

Once you have finished the basic combo, you will be near the target, allowing you to use your Axe 2 again in melee range to hit the fanning axe attack. Depending on the situation, you can immediately go into your next combo or use dodges and utility skills to stall for time. Scorpion Wire and Impact Strike are great CCs to use before or after your axes converge to prevent your target from using cleanses or to keep them in place to land the Harrowing Storm.

Ideally, you want at least 5 spinning axes before using the 3 to recall them because it will cause the attack to immobilize and deal much more damage from torment and poison. You can easily get these extra axes by filling in auto attacks anywhere in the combo. Try to set your axes near where your enemies are headed since they need to be set up and then projectile fire toward the target. If necessary, detarget and manually aim your axes, especially when running away.
