Getting Started

A New Look is a collection that will reward 10AP, the Kryptis Skyscale Skin and a Mini Kryptis Skyscale. Before starting I will list the important requirements:

NOTE: There are two step that require you to complete Strike Missions but these can be avoided by purchasing the item directly from Lyrh with an extra cost, keep this is mind to understand the optional materials listed.

A New Look Collection

  • Talk to Skyscale Trainer Dyanne at the Beacon of Ages in Skywatch Archipelago.
    • Head west of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=] and talk to Dyanne
  • Purchase the analytical charm from Lyhr in the Wizard’s Tower.
    • Talk to Lyhr at Forge of Timelessness – [&BA8OAAA=] in the Wizard’s Tower and purchase an
      • You can purchase an in the second tab

NOTE: He will offer the item in two tabs, you can choose to buy with Spiritwood Planks or with Deldrimor Steel Ingots

  • Complete the Skyscale Target Practice adventure.
    • Return west of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=] and complete the Skyscale Target Practice adventure. Check the video below if you want to get the Master achievement on it, but any medal will suffice for this step
  • Defeat 20 Kryptis turrets with your skyscale’s Fireball.
    • For this step you need to destroy 20 Kryptis turrets with your Fireball skill, these can be found around many places in Amnytas but the best spot is north of Defensive Operations Camp – [&BEkOAAA=] during the event “Destroy the Kryptis turrets.”
  • Spend 30 continuous seconds being carried by a ley line while mounted on your skyscale.
    • Northeast of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=] use your Skyscale and take the ley-line all the way to Primal Maguuma. Check the exact location below:
  • Bring the collected data back to Skyscale Trainer Dyanne at the Beacon of Ages.
    • Return to Dyanne west of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=] and give her the data collected
  • Purchase an anodized medicinal cauldron from Lyhr.
    • Talk to Lyhr at Forge of Timelessness – [&BA8OAAA=] in the Wizard’s Tower and purchase an
      • You can purchase an in the second tab
      • You can purchase the 3 from any Faction Provisioner in Skywatch Archipelago. For example south of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=]
      • You can purchase the 3 from any Faction Provisioner in Amnytas. For example at Bastion of the Natural Waypoint – [&BDQOAAA=]
    • You can purchase the other 2 items here to skip the next steps
  • Collect a sample of possession from the Cosmic Observatory Strike Mission, or purchase a sample from Lyhr in the Wizard’s Tower.
    • You can purchase from Lyhr to skip this step or you can earn the item for free by completing the Cosmic Observatory Strike Mission, check the guide below:
  • Collect a sample of corruption from the Temple of Febe Strike Mission, or purchase a sample from Lyhr in the Wizard’s Tower.
    • You can purchase from Lyhr to skip this step or you can earn the item for free by completing the Temple of Febe Strike Mission, check the guide below:
  • Complete Skyscale Medicine Masker.
    • In this step you will unlock a sub-achievement called Skyscale Medicine Masker that requires you to collect a total of 250
      • There are many ways to obtain these (basically any kind of wurm enemy will drop some) but my recommendation is to complete the Great Jungle Wurm World Boss and slay regular wurm enemies north of Caledon Haven Waypoint – [&BDwBAAA=] in Caledon Forest
  • Bring the collected medical supplies back to Skyscale Trainer Dyanne at the Beacon of Ages.
    • Return to Dyanne at west of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=] and give her the materials collected
  • Administer the medicine to the skyscale and consult Dyanne.
    • Give the medicine to the skyscale next to Dyanne and talk to her
  • Complete Arcane Osmogrifier.
    • In this step you will unlock a sub-achievement called Arcane Osmogrifier that requires you to collect a total of 1000
      • You can get a small amount of these (8-25) from Lesser Arcane Chests
      • These chests are everywhere around Horn of Maguuma maps
      • A good tip to spot them easily is to equip the for your Jade Bot
  • A better alternative is going after the Greater Arcane Chests since these can drop much more (75-150)
  • The Greater Arcane Treasures mastery is required
  • The map below will show the 10 locations in Skywatch Archipelago and with those it should be enough to complete the requirement
  • Use the arcane osmogrifier with the Heart of the Obscure on the sick skyscale near Skyscale Trainer Dyanne.
    • Return west of Beacon of Ages Waypoint – [&BCsOAAA=] and use your Heart of the Obscure on the sick Skyscale next to Dyanne

This will finish the collection and unlock the Kryptis Skyscale. A New Look.
