GW2. Best Open World Build. Condition Daredevil Open World. Thief PvE.
Last Update: April 2024
The Condition Daredevil Open World has almost infinite dodges to survive and deal damage. It deals condition damage by leaping and throwing caltrops and daggers all over the place. On top of the high evasion uptime, it survives by triggering the passive of Signet of Malice off of multi-hitting attacks and pulsing areas of effect.
Your main damaging ability is Death Blossom (Dagger 3) which will leap you over your target while evading. When you dodge you will throw daggers at nearby enemies and place caltrops on the ground. Dodge and Dagger 3 are your two main damage sources. To maximize their effect you want to dodge or evade through your enemy so that you will still be in range of them when the animation ends and you can immediately dodge the other direction right back through them to constantly evade and bombard them with conditions.
In between your main damaging abilities you want to replenish your Initiative and Endurance (Dodges) so you can keep spamming Dodge and Dagger 3. Using Steal, Signet of Agility, Energy Sigils, and Roll for Initiative will help keep up these resources.
Skill Priority
- Dagger 3 (Prevent Initiative from maxing)
- Dodge (Prevent Endurance from maxing)
- Steal – 1 Dodge + 2 Initiative
- Weapon Swap – 1 Dodge
- Signet of Agility – 2 Dodges
- Roll for Initiative – 6 Initiative
While the build is very simplistic, getting used to and optimizing the animations of the build can be the hard part. Dagger 3 has a decent aftercast which makes you vulnerable after the evade frame, but you can cancel this aftercast by swapping weapons. Signet of Agility has no animation so you want to preemptively use it before you need to dodge. Steal has no animation as well, but will port you to your target, meaning that if you move too far from the target during one of your animations you can Steal so that you can be in range to use your next animation as soon as possible. Prioritize using these skills to manage your positioning and timing to facilitate your two main abilities.

Hey bro,
Any update on this build or is it still viable?
Yes it is the same
Hey there, firstly, thanks for the build !
My question is regarding the leveling, would you suggest already start using those skills or not for the leveling ? I know the crucial part of the build comes with the last spec, and last skill from the last spec.
You do not have access to elite specs until you are level 80, for leveling build check here: https://guildjen.com/leveling-builds/
Hi, i wanted to try out a similar open world build but with critical strikes and Berserker Runes. Idk which trait lines to go for a true power/condi build. Any ideas?
Why are you running staff master on a condi build without staff?
Because helps to restore endurance and you want more dodges.
