The Celestial Spear Thief for Open World is a hybrid thief build that uses boons, conditions, and life steal to survive rather than pure evasion or safe positioning. It is a more straightforward approach to Thief but still has a lot of mobility to stay on top of its targets to constantly progress its combo chains.

The Spear combos require you to perform a chain of Lead Attack, Follow-Up, and Finisher which are progressed by using either the Spear 2 or 3. Generally, the combo chain of the 2 does more damage, but due to traits and stealth access, we only want to use the Spear 3 combo. The stealth not only allows us to get cleansing, boons, and life steal, but also it enables the Sneak Attack (1) which is a heavy damage flurry of attacks that applies many conditions and due to Even the Odds trait will give more Might to scale up the damage further.

Make sure to land the entire Sneak Attack (1) because the final hit is where much of the value comes from, but the multiple hits before it will also expend the stacks of venom you gain from entering and exiting stealth. The more you use this sneak attack, the more value you will get, so just repeat the 333 combo for stealth into Sneak Attack (1). Steal or use Infiltrator’s Signet to stay on your target to constantly enable your combo chain.

Basic Rotation:

• Spear 333 > 1 > 333 > 1
• Steal or use any utility to ensure you can keep using the combo

• Jade Bot Core: for extra vitality

• Replace any of the utility skills as you prefer, they are all optional, but whatever allows you to stay on your target and perform your spear combos usually is best
