GW2. A complete guide on how to get your Mordremoth Variants for the Aurene Legendary Weapons in Guild Wars 2. End of Dragons.
Elder Dragons Variants
Each one of the Aurene Legendary Weapons has six variant skins themed in the style of the other Elder Dragons (Zhaitan, Mordremoth, Kralkatorrik, Jormag, Primordius, and Soo-Won). These skin variants have different appearances, visual effects, and animations, according to the theme of the Elder Dragon they are based on.

After you account-bind your first Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon, you will get the achievement called “Arms of a New Cycle” done, and you will receive a mail from Leivas letting you know about the existence of these Elder Dragon variants.
NOTE: These variants require you to participate in events that might be located in maps from older expansions or maps from the living world seasons, so you will need access to that content to complete the skin variant collection.
Mordremoth Variant

Credit to Lord Hizen for the video.For the Mordremoth Variants, first, you need to buy four Scale Splinters of Mordremoth from Leivas in Arborstone, and combine them into one Scale Fragment of Mordremoth by double-clicking any of them.
This will unlock the achievement called “Aurene’s Facet of Plant”. This achievement consists in obtaining the following 7 items:
Scale Fragment of Mordremoth
This item is obtained after combining the four Scale Splinters of Mordremoth. Buy them from Leivas in Arborstone. They will cost you:
- 350000
Karma - 10 – Chunks of Ancient Ambergris
- 2500
Research Notes + 75 
Gold - 100
Spirit Shards
Purified Scale Fragment of Mordremoth
To obtain this item, you will need to defeat the Legendary Wyvern Patriarch in the Verdant Brink (Verdant Brink meta-event).
Take any Chopper at any controlled rally point at Pale Reaver Rally Outpost during nighttime. The closest waypoint is the Shipwreck Peak Waypoint – [&BN4HAAA=]. Every 25% the wyvern will gain a shield and cover all the platform with fire. To continue the fight you will need to get wyvern eggs and throw them to the boss to get rid of his shield. Return to the platform and continue the fight. For this fight, you will need the updrafts use mastery. Check the event timers here.
Completed Memory of Mordremoth
For this item, you will need to complete the sub-achievement called “Memories of Plant and Mind” while the Purified Scale Fragment of Mordremoth effect is active.
Gather 250 fragmented Elder Dragon memories by doing events and defeating enemies in Heart of Maguuma maps and Silverwastes.
Lingering Mordrem Aether
To obtain this item, defeat the Octovine (Auric Basin meta-event) at the Forgoten City Waypoint – [&BMYHAAA=] while wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon.
Participate in one of the four sides of this meta-event. For it to succeed, the four sides have to make the octovine vulnerable to damage by using bombs, herbicide, or mushroom spores (these mechanics vary depending the side you are on), and kill it at the same time. Purified Mordrem Aether
To obtain this item, you need to interact with Aurene’s focusing crystal at the beginning of the Egg Bearer jumping puzzle located at the Inner Chamber of Tarir, the Forgotten City.
This will get you the Unpurified Aether you have to carry through the jumping puzzle and purify it at the second focusing crystal at the end of it.
Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Plant
Return to Leivas in Arborstone and buy the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Plant. This will cost:
- 200 – Jade Runestones
- 250 – Memories of Aurene
- 5 – Mystic Clovers
Fragment of Prismatic Plant
Having the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Plant in your inventory, defeat the Mouth of Mordremoth in Dragon’s Stand while wielding an Aurene-themed Legendary Weapon. Dragon’s Domain Central Waypoint – [&BJcIAAA=]. Check the event timers here.
Once you get the Fragment of Prismatic Plant, return to Leivas in Arborstone and use it to redeem a Mordremoth-themed skin variant for any of the Aurene-themed Legendaries you have previously unlocked in your Legendary Armory.
