GW2. Raid Build. Support Chronomancer Build. Mesmer PvE.
Last Update: April 2024
Role: Support or Tank
The Support Chronomancer is a mesmer build for PvE raids and strike missions with high survivability through blocks and invulnerability, and has the unique option to grant quickness or alacrity depending on what their party needs while using the same set of gear but only swapping a trait. It also provides plenty of aegis and stability to protect allies from taking damage, but is not as powerful at pure healing to sustain allies who have already taken damage. The wide range of utility and CC makes this a very versatile tank for most boss mechanics.
You grant either Quickness or Alacrity when casting phantasms and shattering clones, so prioritize using phantasms off cooldown and generating as many clones as possible with the Scepter or Rifle skills.
Give Protection to your allies by using the Shield 4 or shattering clones. Apply Regeneration to allies by gaining chaos aura, which will then share to allies and give them Regeneration. Using your F2 shatter or Rifle 3 second cast gives you chaos aura. Using any phantasm or shatter gives either Alacrity or Quickness to your allies.
Always begin with Rifle 2 > 4 to generate 2 clones and give boons, then swap to Scepter/Shield get another clone from Scepter 1 auto chain and perform the Continuum Split combo:
Continuum Split Combo:
- Shield 5 + Continuum Split
- Time Warp
- Well of Action
- Well of Precognition
- Shield 4 + Heal Skill
- Leave Continuum Rift
- Repeat from Shield 5
Always make sure to cast every shatter skill during Continuum Split as they will just recharge anyways. While waiting for your next Continuum Split, upkeep boons by using the utility skills and clone generating skills to shatter.
Wells and Mantras will heal your allies, but mantras only on the initial charge and Wells on the final pulse, so if you want more healing you must use all charges of the mantra immediately and use wells on stationary allies. You can also save the effect of the mantra to ration out more stability/cleanse if need be. Summoning clones will also heal allies, and you can use the Scepter 1 attack chain to constantly, although slowly, summon clones to heal.
CC – Crowd Control Skills:
- Shield 5, Rifle 4, F3, Gravity Well/Signet of Humility

Noticed when I reloaded the page from aegis-quickness-chrono build that it is now redirecting to this heal build. Not sure if that was intentional due to the build being outdated, but I wanted to point it out. Luckily I took some screenshots before reloading the page 🙂
the previous version was outdated due to other support builds being power crept over time to give healing and boons, yet the chronomancer only gave boons and minimal dps. Now that chronomancer can give healing and boons it can compete with other support options, thus the change in build name
Is this build still viable?
Yes it is
With the SOTO changes, how would this build be altered?
